RESEARCH AND TEACHING

WE PLACE A HIGH VALUE ON EDUCATION AND SCIENCE

SPECIALIST TRAINING IN NEUROSURGERY

Since 2022, the Centre for Neurosurgery, in cooperation with the Klinik Hirslanden Zürich, has held FMH (Swiss Medical Association) approval “B” for neurosurgical specialist training. As trainers, Prof. Reisch and Prof. Hopf offer a programme of up to three years of training in endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgery. This super-specialisation is particularly suitable for junior doctors in the second half of their training.

CONTINUING EDUCATION EVENTS & COURSES

In addition to our surgical activities, we are passionate about exchanging clinical and scientific experience and delivering education and training in the field of endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgery. This takes the form of an extensive involvement in lecturing at local, regional, national and international events.

We are particularly committed to practical training and further education, with a focus on modern neurosurgical treatment techniques and complex brain and skull-base operations. The focus here is on teaching surgically-oriented and endoscopic anatomy, the keyhole concept, how to achieve minimally invasive surgical access, the use of different endoscopic techniques and complex transcranial and transnasal skull-base surgery.

ENDOMIN COLLEGE

This comprehensive and practice-oriented training in endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgery is organised and delivered through the ENDOMIN COLLEGE , founded in 2015 by Professors Hopf and Reisch.

Based on their experience of more than 60 training courses with over 1000 participants, through the ENDOMIN COLLEGE Professors Hopf and Reisch offer a comprehensive, modular education and training concept. This next-generation neuroendoscopy training programme includes high-quality international hands-on courses designed for beginners and advanced students, covering unique preparation methods, intensive multi-day live surgical courses and individual internships. The experienced members of our support team also offer assistance with the local set up of these new techniques. Further training (German-speaking) is also available for nursing staff in this area.
